Dear Grandma (2021)
This film was made during my final year of my undergraduate animation degree at NTU, my film follows a young girl through her memories with her Grandma and explores how children can experience grief differently to adults. I was inspired by my Grandma who passed away when I was younger and some scenes are based on and have taken inspiration from memories and photos from my childhood.
These are a couple of stills from the film, the colour palette was inspired by the sweets my Grandma used to get me from the market.
The full film was animated in TV Paint and edited in Premiere Pro, it was selected in multiple film festivals including being part of the First-Time Film Maker Sessions and UNICA Korea international film festival.
